FY26 Seasonal Tax-FSO- GCR Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory-Real Estate- Manager role at EY. This position supports tax accounting and risk advisory services related to real estate, within the Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory Services (TARAS) practice.
Location New York or Remote - Seasonal
Responsibilities
Provide clients with tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning (internal restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, GAAP conversions from US GAAP to IFRS or IFRS to US GAAP, share-based compensation, financial statement restatements and balance sheet remediation of tax accounts).
Assist companies with all aspects of their preparation of the tax provision.
Review the tax provision process to improve efficiency and accuracy; enhance the control environment and assess tax risk and control environments beyond Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404.
Skills and Attributes for Success
Tax accounting projects and consulting
Real estate experience a plus
Tax provision preparation/review and related processes
Process and controls enhancement
Identification, prioritization, monitoring and remediation of key risks
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field with significant tax or legal experience; MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM preferred
Valid US CPA license or active state bar membership
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services, tax organization, law firm, or IRS
Broad understanding and experience with federal income taxation
Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and attention to detail
Preferred Experience
ASC 740, Real Estate, and/or IAS 12 experience
Experience in corporate tax planning and compliance
