Data Center Technician, Data Center Operations role at Amazon Web Services (AWS). The Infrastructure Operations team is looking for cleared Data Center Technicians to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. Data Center Technicians are the primary resolver and troubleshoot and solve a range of datacenter infrastructure issues including, but not limited to: hardware, fiber, networking, and related problems. Key responsibilities

You will be required to engage in physical data center activities with or without reasonable accommodation. This includes all tasks associated with planning and tracking capacity, rack deployment, rack cabling, hardware and software troubleshooting, and rack decommissioning. These activities include: Lifting and moving material up to 49 pounds each Working in cramped and/or elevated locations Bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching Standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely Working in a noisy environment Working shifts longer than 8 hours to support 24/7 operations (covering both night and day shifts) A day in the life

2+ years of experience with Windows Server technologies 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience Associate’s degree in IT-related field or equivalent professional or military experience Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or relevant professional or military experience CCNA or equivalent networking certification, or other networking/security credentials (e.g., CND, GSEC, Network+, Security+) Experience in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment) Hands-on experience with hardware platforms (e.g., Dell, HP) is a plus Active Security+ certification or ability to obtain one within 90 days of start Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The Colorado base pay for this position ranges from $81,300/year up to $142,300/year. The National base pay ranges from $73,200/year to $163,600/year, depending on location and experience.
