This is a Part-Time position at King's School in Shoreline, WA. Position Summary The King’s Kids Club Group Assistant is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, fun and thriving age-appropriate environment under the general supervision of the Director, Site Coordinator, and Lead Teacher. Essential Functions Support the Director and Lead Teacher in maintaining a quality program that upholds the standards, goals and overall mission of King’s Kids Club. Assist the Director and Lead Teacher and other staff with maintaining a well-functioning safe environment. Creatively solve problems and resolve concerns with students. Know and comply with the State regulations concerning a state licensed before-and-after school program and understand specifically how the regulations impact your duties. Intentionally develop positive relationships with students and their families. Maintain flexibility and change direction quickly in response to a variety of situations. Work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers, students and families. Perform other related duties as assigned. Essential Qualifications Profession that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior. Lifestyle that is consistent with biblical principles. Agreement and support of CRISTA’s Statement of faith. Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader. One year of experience working with children LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION: Have or be willing to obtain within 30 days of hire the following: STARS ID, Portable Background Check Card, HIV and blood borne pathogen training and proof of negative TB skin test. Other Considerations Possess an excellent command of mathematics in all elementary math disciplines Excellent time management skills to cover specific subject matter with students within an allotted amount of time 16 years old Able and committed to work with multi-ethnic, culturally diverse student and parent population Able to work with the public in a friendly and courteous manner Maintain confidentiality and composure in a busy, open setting Have a patient, child-centered temperament Able to communicate clearly to children as well as both verbally and in writing to parents Display a positive & professional attitude STATEMENT OF NONDISCRIMINATION CRISTA is a Christian, religious organization that lives out its faith-based mission through five ministries: CRISTA Camps, CRISTA Media, CRISTA Senior Living, King’s Schools, and World Concern.
