Position Overview The Accounts Payable Supervisor will oversee the accounts payable department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, managing vendor relationships, and leading a team of accounts payable clerks. This role is critical to maintaining the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the company.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage the accounts payable team.

Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, credit memos, and payment transactions.

Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines.

Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.

Manage vendor relationships, including negotiating terms and resolving payment issues.

Prepare and review accounts payable reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency of the accounts payable function.

Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audits as needed.

Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Required Experience/Skills

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or related financial roles.

At least 2 years of supervisory experience in an accounts payable department.

Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and accounting principles.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.

Preferred Experience/Skills

Experience in the transportation and logistics industry.

Familiarity with ERP systems.

Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
