BGCSPS’s mission is to inspire all young people, especially those who need us most, empowering them to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible members of their community. We have been providing a safe, fun, and positive environment at our sites with trained and dedicated professional staff for more than 80 years. Members are involved in age-appropriate activities based upon our three priority outcomes of Academic Success, Character Development, and Healthy Lifestyles. POSITION SUMMARY Under the direction of the Branch Manager, the Site Coordinator will oversee the Club Beyond afterschool program at the Henry T. Schatz Boys & Girls Club, serving Gray Middle School students. The Site Coordinator will manage the daily operations of the Club Beyond program, including Clubs and Expanded Learning Opportunities (ELO’s), while ensuring a safe, engaging, and supportive environment. FUNCTION/TASKS ● Manages day to day operations for the Club B program to include Pilot Club, enrichment, and sports programs. ● Administers safety plans as necessary. ● Serves as a liaison to Tacoma Public Schools (TPS) on site personnel: principals, administrative staff, teachers; communicates with TPS personnel to ensure staff awareness of Club B offerings at Schatz. ● Ensures announcements are provided during check in; collects and manages all attendance rosters; works with TPS nutrition staff to ensure distribution of meals. ● Ensures supervision occurs in all programs, reports concerns to appropriate personnel. ● Manages program providers to lend extra support in classrooms when needed. ● Ensures chain of custody, including check in, hand off to program instructors, and transition to the Club. ● Interfaces with parents of children enrolled. ● Participates in recruitment and promotion for clubs, ELO’s, and sports. ● Ensures program quality and social-emotional learning (SEL) roll out for program providers; assists with surveys, data collection and performance outcomes. ● Other duties as required. Site Coordinator - Club Beyond Boys And Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound August 2025 QUALIFICATIONS: ● Minimum of 18 years of age; High School diploma or GED required. ● Two years of experience working with youth or coordinating youth programs. ● Possess skills for instruction, direction, and guidance of youth with the ability to lead and control groups of youth in various recreational and educational activities and settings. ● Intermediate technology skills including but not limited to Google Workspace & Microsoft Office Suite. ● Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to effectively communicate. ● Ability to adapt to changes in a highly energetic work environment and other duties as assigned. ● Must be able to comply with drug-free workplace policy. ● Must pass a national criminal background check. Skills essential for successful communications include speaking and writing. Physical requirements include sight, hearing, being active and on your feet for a minimum of four hours; adapt to changes in a highly energetic work environment; other duties as assigned. BENEFITS ● Paid Sick Leave - In accordance with Washington Paid Sick Leave, you will accrue one (1) hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked. You are eligible to use Paid Sick Leave after 30 days of ● 401(K) - Automatic Enrollment of 1%, with up to a 4% match, after one year of employment. ● Paid Vacation - Accrues per pay period, totaling one week (20 hours) annually. ● Personal All In Day - One (1) personal All In day (4 hours) annually after 3 months of employment.
