Experts of store process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. As a General Merchandise Expert, you will have the opportunity to develop skills such as knowledge of guest service fundamentals, experience in retail business fundamentals, and experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals. Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks. When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way, to help solve their specific needs. Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target. Execute daily tasks assigned to you by your leader to help achieve goals that align with business priorities. If certified operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures. Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability. Be knowledgeable about the resources, products, and services available in the total store. Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance. Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training. We are looking for someone who enjoys interacting and helping others, thrives in a fast-moving and physically demanding role, and is open to working a flexible work schedule. Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners. Ability to work both independently and with a team. Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot. Attention to detail and follow a multi-step processes.
