We are working with a family owned 100% ESOP company that is going through rapid growth. Our client has been around since the early 1900s with an outstanding reputation in the market. They are looking to hire an outside sales rep who has experience with residential and custom home lumber sales. This opportunity offers NO overnight travel. This is an extremely lucrative option when exploring roles. What You'll Do

Learn company products, procedures, culture and customer service philosophy. Learn proper procedures for orders, special orders, purchase orders, credit memos and receiving. Develop relationships with existing and potential customers through personal and phone contact, ensuring completion of plan take-offs, bids and quotes, answering questions and solving problems. Prepare and present accurate sales proposals and quotes to prospective or current customers. Maximize the number of sales for existing market areas. Provide customers with knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt service at all times. Research and provide accurate information to customers regarding proper materials and prices as well as technical information regarding application and specifications. Perform job-site visits to ensure delivery and timely completion. Ensure all projects generate appropriate profit margins to justify sale. Coordinate all deliveries and credit pick-ups with yard dispatcher. Attend activities and functions as a representative of company. Develop process to track progress of customer’s projects and monitors progress. What You'll Need

Computer literacy. Some knowledge of construction industry and local building codes preferred. Previous sales experience preferred Ability to read plans and truss layouts. Current driver’s license, current automobile insurance and good driving record Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales. Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs. Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
