The Sales Account Representative - Customer is responsible for generating profitable new business and providing best-in-class service to our customer base. They utilize technology, market intelligence, and entrepreneurial drive to grow market share with existing and new business customers. Their success is measured on budgeted growth, service, and customer sales activity metrics.
Qualifications & Experience
Ability to multi-task, to the max
Excellent communication and customer service ability, both written and verbal
High level of professionalism and accountability
Research leads and reach decision makers to service freight opportunities.
Build, maintain, and grow customer relationships through cold calls and consistent communication.
Utilize a deep understanding of company service offerings to effectively communicate how they benefit existing and prospective customers.
Effectively balance existing business, prospective business, and lead generation.
Develop a portfolio of active clients.
Participate in bid opportunities, both tactical and strategic (RFP process).
Collaborate with carrier operations and Key Account teams to source capacity.
Realize monthly sales targets.
Utilize CRM to identify or generate leads, actively maintain them, and update records in the CRM.
Negotiate rates, develop logistics solutions, and execute freight on behalf of customers.
Work closely with vendors, carriers, customers, and account managers to ensure the highest level of service and support.
Effectively support teammates' customers when they are out of office.
High energy, with the ability to make confident decisions
Bachelor's degree (preferred)
