Location: Ventura, CA Duration: 6 months Team: Archives Scope: Individual Contributor, P2 Year of Experience needed: 3+ years
Responsibilities
Process and edit digital images from object photography using Adobe Lightroom and Capture One.
Maintain and organize server assets, including image, video, and oral history audio files.
Organize and digitize slides, photographic prints, and archival photo collections.
Reconcile and streamline image storage across multiple systems and server environments.
Apply consistent tagging and metadata in Lightroom and Digital Asset Management systems (DAMS).
Support digital media storage strategy and uphold best practices for organization and backup.
Qualifications
Highly technical and self-directed.
Organized, detail-oriented, and systematic.
Able to balance precision with an understanding of the broader project context.
Agile and responsive to evolving priorities and timelines.
Experience You Bring
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Photoshop) and/or Capture One.
Experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems, particularly Cortex, strongly preferred.
Familiarity with Collection Management Systems (CMS) such as TMS / Gallery Systems is a plus.
Understanding of digital media storage, workflows, and metadata standards.
Experience handling and scanning slides, negatives, and photographic prints.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Excellent organizational and data-entry accuracy, with follow-through on tagging and metadata tasks.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, prioritize efficiently, and adapt to shifting project needs.
Hiring Range
$80,000- $90,000 USD Annual Equivalent
