You’ll balance artistry with efficiency by managing food and labor costs while upholding quality standards. About Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark Tucked within historic Lake Geneva, Timber Ridge Lodge is the only all-season, all-suite destination of its kind in the Midwest. Featuring 50,000 sq ft of indoor/outdoor waterpark excitement, Timber Ridge is a family bonding adventure. Located just 90 minutes from Chicago and 50 minutes from Milwaukee, it also hosts two championship golf courses, WELL Spa & Fitness Center, Mountain Top Ski Park, award-winning restaurants, and 1300 acres of grounds. What will you be doing? Ensure the quality of all food leaving the kitchen and maintain sanitation standards in compliance with regulations. Assist in interviewing, hiring, training, and supervising kitchen staff. Collaborate on menu development incorporating current trends and client needs. Provide materials for line staff, including recipes and production schedules. Oversee purchasing, employee discipline, and food safety adherence; report maintenance needs. Build and maintain vendor relationships. Create employee schedules based on volume needs. Assume Executive Chef duties in their absence. What do you bring to the role? High school education required; culinary schooling or experience preferred. 2-4 years of food management experience. Proficient in safety and sanitation standards with kitchen equipment. Strong math skills for recipe calculations. Fluent in English for communication and recipes. Able to lift up to 200 lbs, work in confined spaces, and extreme temperatures. Effective communication skills and ability to work under pressure. Ability to lead and work in a team environment. Flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. What’s in it for you?
