Description An exciting opportunity to join the team of a progressive YMCA located in vibrant Somerset County, New Jersey. Responsibilities
Demonstrate, instruct, and monitor clients’ use of cardio, strength, and flexibility equipment to ensure safety.
Actively role model and assist members with equipment use and workout tips to encourage sales of personal training packages.
Promote and sell personal training packages, aiming to grow the client base.
Complete administrative tasks related to clients’ fitness plans, including electronic logging in Appointment King (training provided).
Maintain certification, stay current with training programs, and uphold a personal fitness brand.
Ensure all members feel competent, welcomed, included, and connected through excellent service.
Assess client goals, medical history, and fitness status to develop personalized training programs.
This position is fully on-site.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent; formal education in Exercise Science, Sports Medicine, or Kinesiology preferred.
Active participation in personal fitness routines.
Certified Personal Trainer (NASM, ACE, ISSA, NCSF, etc.).
CPR/FA/AED certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
