The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate makes eye contact, smiles, and greets all Customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow Associates with respect, follows company standards, maintains a clean work area, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The Associate will perform a range of functions in all areas of the Store as business needs require and may be asked to perform additional tasks to help achieve customer service and operational goals. Essential Functions

Understands that safety is the number one priority and practices safe behaviors in everything they do. Maintains a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment; keeps egress clear and reports unsafe conditions to Store Leadership. Treats Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; is friendly and professional at all times. Recognizes fellow Associates using Company recognition programs. Assists Customers as needed - register-trained, helps with merchandise, and answers questions politely and knowledgeably. Greets Customers with eye contact, a smile, and a greeting throughout the Store; thanks customers at the register. Provides prompt and efficient responses to Customer inquiries and issues; responds to Customer service calls and escalates as needed to Store Leadership. Represents and supports the Company brand at all times. Performs cleaning tasks and ensures a neat store environment, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping surfaces, replenishing restroom supplies, and disinfecting high-touch areas. Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the Company dress code. Performs daily sizing and recovery to keep the store organized and merchandised to standards. Expedites newly received merchandise to the sales floor and merchandise items per monthly presentation guidelines; collaborates to assist Customers with brand-name familiarity within departments. Understands the Loss Prevention program and merchandise protection standards. Demonstrates integrity and protects confidential information, cash, and merchandise. Follows MOS policies, including identification and processing of MOS merchandise and notification of leadership for disposals. Follows policies and procedures concerning cash, checks, charge cards, refunds, voids, and offline transactions; maintains accuracy with tenders. Demonstrates urgency to perform duties efficiently and aligns with Store best practices. Competencies

Ability to use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers and PC as required. Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the Store. Ability to regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop. Ability to occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 pounds. Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders and other assigned supplies. Certain assignments may require other qualifications and skills. Associates who work Stockroom shifts: Ability to regularly push, pull and lift more than 20 pounds. Supervisory Responsibilities
