The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate makes eye contact, smiles, and greets all Customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow Associates with respect, follows company best practice standards, maintains a clean work area, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The Associate may be asked to perform a range of functions in all store areas as business needs require and may be assigned additional tasks to help achieve Customer service and operational goals. Essential Functions
Understands that safety is the number one priority and practices safe behaviors in everything they do. Maintains a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment; keeps egress clear and reports unsafe conditions to Store Leadership. Treats all Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; is friendly and professional at all times. Assists Customers with merchandise and questions; greets Customers with eye contact, a smile, and a courteous greeting; thanks Customers at checkout. Provides prompt and efficient responses to Customers; handles Customer issues courteously and involves Store Leadership when needed. Represents and supports the Company brand at all times. Performs cleaning tasks to maintain store areas and ensure a neat, well-maintained presentation. Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the Company dress code. Performs daily assigned sizing and recovery to maintain neat and organized store presentation. Expedites newly received merchandise to the sales floor and merchandises items according to monthly presentation guidelines. Understands Loss Prevention programs and merchandise protection standards. Safeguards confidential information, cash, and merchandise. Follows MOS policies for identification and disposal of MOS merchandise. Follows policies and procedures concerning cash, checks, charge cards, refunds, voids, and offline procedures; maintains accuracy with tender handling. Demonstrates a sense of urgency to maximize productivity and follow Store best practices. Competencies

Effectively communicate with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative and pleasant manner. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments. Physical Requirements
Ability to use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers and PCs as required. Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of working time. Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop. Ability to occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 pounds. Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders and other assigned supplies. Certain assignments may require other qualifications and skills. Stockroom associates must regularly push, pull and lift more than 20 pounds. Supervisory Responsibilities
