Account Coordinator – Manufacturing Customer Service Location: Houston, TX 77058 (Clear Lake) Type: Full-Time, Onsite About the Company
Our client is a global leader in the catalyst processing industry, serving refineries, gas processing facilities, petrochemical, and chemical plants worldwide. They provide services including catalyst regeneration/reactivation, pre-activation of fresh hydroprocessing catalysts, inventory management, and waste management. About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Account Coordinator to join our client’s team. This role is the primary liaison between customers, sales, production, engineering, logistics, and warehouse teams. You’ll manage the full order lifecycle — from quoting and order entry through production scheduling, shipping, and invoicing. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of customer service or account coordination experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environment (not retail or call center), strong ERP/Excel skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Responsibilities
Serve as the main point of contact for customers and sales on orders, quotes, and job status Enter and confirm POs, create detailed work instructions (packaging, labeling, testing) Coordinate with engineering, lab, warehouse, and freight companies to ensure jobs run smoothly Track customer inventory, create reports, and manage ERP data accuracy Schedule production batches, ensure approvals, and maintain timelines Handle logistics (freight scheduling, customs paperwork, shipping documents) Generate invoices, credits, and acquisition documents Maintain detailed job checklists, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery Qualifications
2–3 years of customer service/account coordination experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting (required) High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel; ERP system experience (Dynamics AX, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.) preferred Strong communication skills (phone, email, in-person) and professional demeanor Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities Team player with a positive attitude and problem-solving mindset
