is seeking a Cardiometabolic Account Specialist (CAS) in Las Vegas, NV. The CAS is a field-based role responsible for the launch of Ionis’s first wholly owned commercial product within the territory and will work with cross-functional partners and external customers to support Ionis goals and help patients in need. The role involves driving performance and collaborating with cross-functional partners to meet Ionis goals and support patient care. RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute customer-focused territory plans to maximize opportunities and patient outcomes. Build and leverage networks within the local healthcare system to educate clinicians and staff about FCS, diagnostic pathways, and treatment options. Provide cross-functional collaboration with internal teams to ensure compliant and effective customer engagement and support for the FCS community. Engage in conferences, congresses, and scientific meetings to educate healthcare professionals on FCS and treatment options. Educate, train, and certify on brand messaging and compliance policies; maintain adherence to Ionis Code of Ethics and Business Conduct. Identify and document potential HCPs treating FCS patients to inform commercial strategy and refine territory plans. Share insights with field leadership, marketing, and other stakeholders to inform product sales and marketing strategies. Partner with cross-functional teammates to ensure high-quality customer and patient experiences across multiple specialties and geographies. TRAINING & COMPLIANCE
Participate in field meetings and training programs to understand brand messaging, FCS disease state, and customer engagement tactics. Certify on approved label, compliance training, and applicable customer engagement policies. Adhere to company mission, policies, procedures, and the Ionis Code of Ethics and Business Conduct. QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree 5+ years of experience in Pharma sales with New Product launches, account-based selling, HCP and IDN engagement, and cross-functional field team coordination. Prior experience independently managing a sales territory Background in cardiology, endocrinology, or other sub-specialties that treat FCS patients Familiarity with Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome (FCS) community Established relationships with key opinion leaders and major accounts Ability to analyze market data and develop territory strategies Strong clinical knowledge and a commitment to addressing patient needs BENEFITS & EMPLOYMENT INFO
