The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) role is a development-focused position designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager role. The SMIT program supports your growth toward store leadership through a self-paced, collaborative training over 16 weeks, with virtual and hands-on learning experiences. You will be supported by a team that includes your District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and your Store Manager coach.
Responsibilities
Participate in a structured 16-week SMIT program through self-paced and hands-on learning experiences. Engage with leaders to support your path to promotion during the program. Assist the store management team and lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies. Support the company’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health, and motivate colleagues accordingly.
Skills & Requirements
Willingness to accept a promotion to Store Manager at any location in the designated market. Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market. Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs. High School diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Retail management experience, or experience as a CVS Supervisor. Anticipated weekly hours: 45; Time Type: Full time.
Qualifications
Selection for the SMIT position does not guarantee promotion. Promotion to Store Manager depends on performance, openings, and other factors.
Education & Benefits
A high school diploma or GED is required. A four-year college degree is preferred, or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Pay range: $18.50 - $23.88 per hour. This range is base pay for the job grade; actual offer depends on experience, education, geography and other factors.
