Responsibilities
Provide real-time Quichua (Salasaca) English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders. Deliver interpretation with accuracy, impartiality, and professionalism in immigration and asylum contexts. Maintain strict confidentiality under USCIS/DHS interpreter standards. Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge requests. Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance reviews. Qualifications
Native or near-native fluency in Quichua (Salasaca Highland Dialect) and English. 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, asylum, NGO, or community preferred). Strong knowledge of Andean indigenous cultural contexts. Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and neutrality standards. Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance. Compensation & Benefits
