Overview
The EHS Coordinator supports a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant workplace by driving safety initiatives, conducting training, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. Under the direction of the Corporate Safety Director, this role works closely with site leadership to prevent incidents, investigate hazards, and promote a strong safety culture across Collins facilities. Base pay range
$90,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and state regulations (CAL/OSHA, Oregon OSHA). Support Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and emergency response planning. Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions. Conduct safety audits, inspections, and new hire safety orientations. Deliver EHS training and maintain documentation in BLR. Assist with environmental permitting, waste disposal, water testing, and spill prevention plans. Promote safety engagement and serve as a local extension of the Corporate EHS Team. Qualifications
2+ years of EHS experience in an industrial setting (wood products experience a plus). Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and safety practices. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to obtain certifications in OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, wastewater, hazardous waste, and more within the first year. Ability to travel between facilities as needed. Exposure to industrial hazards, weather, noise, and stairs. PPE is required at all times, including but not limited to safety glasses, hard hats, hearing protection, and respirators. Senioriry level
