The primary responsibility of the tutor is to provide one-on-one or group support to students in English, Literature, and ESL courses in an equitable fashion. Assist students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research and other academic assignments. Demonstrate academic best practices for specific subjects and assignments, including research and writing. Work with students to help them understand key concepts, especially those learned in the classroom. Provide students with positive and constructive feedback. Build meaningful connections with students from diverse backgrounds. Requirements

A Bachelor\'s degree in English, Creative Writing, Communications, Literature, Education or a related area is required. A Master\'s degree is preferred. 1+ years of tutoring experience preferred. The tutor is needed Tuesday and Friday 9am to 5pm in-person. Ability to work independently. Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population. Additional Information
