KCOM - Assistant/Associate Professor, Physiology
A.T. Still University's Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) is seeking a full-time professor of physiology at the assistant/associate level on the Kirksville, Missouri campus. This position is a joint appointment with KCOM and MOSDOH. This person reports to the Physiology chairperson for academic assignments within KCOM-MOSDOH.
Responsibilities
Academic assignment - teaching in biochemistry courses within the Department of Physiology at KCOM and MOSDOH
Scholarly activity - develop and conduct a scientific research program or other scholarly work
Professional service - contribute to the academic mission of the university
Participate in the teaching mission of the Department of Physiology
Perform independent, externally funded basic science research or other scholarly activity
Contribute to the academic mission of the university through service to the college and university, and service to the profession through physiology or research-oriented organizations at the local, regional, and national/international level
Qualifications
PhD or related doctoral degree/DO/MD
General knowledge in physiology for the purpose of teaching physiology to first and second-year medical and dental students
Postdoctoral research experience, teaching experience required, physiology teaching experience in a medical/dental setting preferred, experience with budgets, basic computer experience, technical experience necessary to conduct research/scholarly program
