Position Summary
We are looking for a fresh food associate to join the meat team. You will help with the quality, packaging, and display of meat items for our members. Your attention to detail and steady hand contribute to a quality product and strong member service on the front lines of the department. What you'll do is part of a team-focused environment where you respond to member needs and help create a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities
Be a Team Member : Collaborates with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicates with teammates; and flexes to the needs of the business to work in other areas. Be an Expert : Demonstrates knowledge of floor operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and the operation, maintenance, and sanitization of equipment; prepares meat products according to standards; cuts boneless meat products; maintains product quality standards. Be a Techie : Uses digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and engage associates; uses handheld technology to make decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them. Be an Owner : Maintains operational excellence; keeps work area clean and in line with policies; ensures quality and date control standards for meat products; secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise; minimizes waste; assists members with purchasing decisions; ensures products are properly packaged, labeled, and stored. Be a Talent Ambassador : Advocates for the department and club by valuing the member experience in the meat area and modeling high-quality service; performs duties to the highest standard of quality with energy and commitment. Complies with company policies, procedures, and ethics by applying related action plans and the Open Door Policy. Completes work assignments by collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and business partners; identifies priorities and deadlines; communicates progress and adapts to change and feedback. The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $24.00. Additional compensation in certain circumstances may include premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour.
