Tool, Fastener & Safety Specialist – you will be the point person on key accounts for all Tools, Fasteners and Safety sales. You will service these key accounts and solicit new business, in partnership with Branch leadership and outside sales representatives, to maximize profitability. You will position Codale as the primary supplier of TFS supplies by delivering exceptional customer service, communication, and solutions. What You’ll Do
Be a subject matter expert on product and application knowledge for Tools, Fasteners and Safety products for Codale Electric associates and customers. Lead TFS outside sales efforts, including quoting larger potential orders. Lead sales and account planning by branch; engage branch management and outside sales representatives to convert existing QED customers, including coordinating joint sales calls. Develop and execute product and pricing strategy, including inventory management strategy. Be the primary point of contact for TFS vendors; develop product strategy (with purchasing) for TFS products to be stocked. Drive branch-level engagement between vendors and branch leadership and inside/outside sales to convert existing Codale customers to TFS products and drive over-the-counter sales through effective merchandising. Plan and execute training for internal and external customers, especially related to safety and new products. Support marketing with quarterly and/or vendor-specific promotions with suggestions of product and promotion type. Share best practices with TFS specialists across the Sonepar network. What You’ll Bring
Experience selling Tools, Fasteners and Safety to medium/large contractors. Ability to understand customer needs to present and deliver solutions (products and services). Understanding of balancing product/brands with market inventory and operational requirements. Ability to drive promotions and marketing communication to pull demand from customers. Ability to manage merchandising of TFS products in Branches. Ability to work independently. Strong communication and presentation skills with customers, vendors, division leaders, purchasing, marketing, outside/inside sales, and customer service reps in a professional manner. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
