Overview
The Safety Inspector role is responsible for inspection of construction areas for safety and life safety hazards and designs, implements and records interim life safety measures for projects. This role also designs and conducts fire drills on multiple shifts and responds to fire alarm activations.
Responsibilities
Inspect construction areas for safety and life safety hazards.
Design, implement, and record interim life safety measures for projects.
Design and conduct fire drills on multiple shifts.
Respond to fire alarm activations.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Fire Safety, Construction Safety, Occupational Safety or equivalent years of relevant experience related to fire safety training and inspections required.
License/Certifications: Valid Driver's License required.
Experience: Three years of experience conducting fire inspections required. Experience in healthcare facilities or nursing homes preferred.
Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Knowledge of applicable NFPA life safety codes, OSHA regulations and CFR hazard communications.
