Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and adequate employee records, ensure all employee relation issues are handled in a professional manner and issue commendations and disciplinary action as necessary.
Assist manager with budgets and staff schedules to meet optimum operational needs and ensure departmental coverage.
Meet with guests for check approval and guest service issues as they arise.
Work with Executives, Hosts and Credit for the benefit of guests.
Plan, participate and attend departmental meetings.
Assist manager in maintaining compliance with company legal issues.
Assist management with developing and/or changing policy and procedure guidelines, as needed.
Develop and implement effective training programs for Supervisors to ensure the programs meet the appropriate development guidelines.
Attend mandatory meetings /classes given by the property.
Find and assist in the process of resolving bank errors which can not be solved by supervisors and/or staff.
Provide department bank coverage as staffing levels and customer flow fluctuate.
Perform guest transactions, including but not limited to: redeeming casino chips, redeeming slot machine tickets, redeeming Race & Sports tickets, even money exchanges, foreign currency exchanges, cash advances, check cashing, marker/front money issuance/redemption.
Maintain a flexible schedule to be available 24 hours a day by phone.
Delegate duties to departmental staff as necessary.
Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required. College degree in a related field is preferred.
Financial aptitude and management experience required.
Must have or be able to acquire a Gaming License and Alcohol Awareness Card.
Casino Cage experience required with proficiency in all aspects of the Cage.
Thorough working knowledge of Title 31, State and Federal Gaming and employment regulations.
Thorough knowledge of office equipment and programs like Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, stand and walk for extended times, and carry/lift up to 45 pounds.
Must be able to work in Casino environment with possible exposure to: dust, dirt, high noise levels, and smoke.
