Job Title: Before/After-school Instructor
Base Hours and Days: Monday – Friday; 6:20 AM – 8:30 AM and/or 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Location: Minneapolis, MN 55427

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Instruct/lead scholars grades K to 8 utilizing Ivy Camps USA curriculum, or other predetermined arts and crafts or athletic games and activities.
Ensure effective scholar pick-up and drop-off.
Communicate proactively with your on-site director about scholar performance, learning, and any possible incidents.
Ensure proper setup and clean up of materials as needed.
EDUCATION & RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE
Be at least 18 years old.
Have a high school diploma.
Have a Child Development credential, a professional certificate, or a completed license from the state, OR have obtained one of the state-approved teacher experience and education hours/university credit options (see https://www.revisor.mn.gov/rules/9503.0032/ for a full list of qualification pathways).
Experience working with children required.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, or CERTIFICATIONS
Possesses current CPR/First-Aid/AED Adult/Pediatric certification OR willing to acquire certification within 14 days of hire (in-person CPR component required).
Must complete all state-required training before starting position. A manager will support you in determining the completion date for each training in accordance with the guidelines.
Background check required for hire.
Child Development training within 90 days of hire.

Ability to work in a self-directed capacity, must be proactive, creative, take ownership, and have a strong work ethic.
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills, with the ability to work quickly and strategically.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong digital literacy and ability to manage digital systems.

Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times.

Assisting the director with the sign-in/out of scholars.
Ensuring scholar safety and practicing appropriate behavior management.
Assisting the director in licensing matters.
