The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine seeks outstanding candidates for full‑time Research Assistant or Senior Research Assistant positions (Job ID 57674) located in Kansas City. These are 12‑month, full‑time contract, benefit‑eligible, unranked academic positions. Research Responsibilities

Assist with ocular cell biology, biochemistry and microscopy experiments as part of a newly NIH‑funded research project. Prepare biological specimens for imaging and ocular cell biological and biochemical testing and acquire and analyze related data. Maintain ocular cell biology, biochemistry and microscopy equipment, order routine supplies, prepare technical reports and archive data. These positions provide a research opportunity to advance ocular research toward developing cures or treatments for vision degenerative conditions. Qualifications

Research Assistant: Bachelor’s degree and 2 years experience in cell biology methods and microscopy techniques. Senior Research Assistant: Master’s degree in a related medical or scientific field and 2+ years experience in cell biology methods and microscopy techniques. Experience in ocular cell biology is a preferred qualification. Anticipated Salary
