Area Sales Manager
is responsible for achieving assigned goals related to the overall performance of a collection of 2-10 hotels. The individual will effectively solicit and secure new accounts for all assigned hotels. The
Area Sales Manager
will collaborate with the respective Directors of Sales and hotel leadership to meet revenue and market share objectives. Sales focus may vary based on the properties assigned (e.g., Leisure, Business Travel, Group, SMERF). Management-level associates are expected to work as much of each workday as necessary to fulfill their responsibilities; for OEM associates, overtime applies and is calculated accordingly. Responsibilities
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required; at least 2 years of hotel sales experience preferred. Valid driver’s license for the applicable state. Strong verbal and written communication skills for negotiating and influencing managerial personnel, guests, and clients. Experience with professional selling skills: opening, probing, supporting, closing. Proficient in general computer knowledge, especially Microsoft Office. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and demonstrate strong organizational and presentation skills. Responsibilities: Achieve sales and revenue goals for the assigned hotels. Conduct solicitation calls, sales tours, and entertain clients, focusing on Leisure, SMERF, Business Travel, and/or Groups. Develop and grow relationships with existing accounts. Monitor market trends within the segment. Maintain a courteous, attentive, and service-oriented approach with guests and employees. Adhere to Aimbridge Hospitality’s standards and sales metrics. Develop knowledge of hotel operations and policies. Maintain visibility in the local community and industry organizations. Assist in implementing promotional activities and participate in sales initiatives. Attend meetings and other functions as required. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
