Transportation District Sales Manager
to be remotely based out of
Indianapolis, Goshen, Elkhart, Indiana
or surrounding areas. Reports to the Regional Sales Manager. This role focuses on driving product sales through effective customer, dealer, and fleet presentations, sales calls and promotional activities. It will service and support current business at trailer and truck body OEMs, dealers and fleets within the assigned district. Responsibilities
Identify key personnel within target organizations with high influence. Identify potential share gains by customer, product and geographical area. Drive new product introductions through customer, dealer, and fleet presentations, sales calls and promotional activities. Execute new specifications for Crane products by demonstrating value to the customer. Service and support current business at trailer and truck body OEMs, dealers and fleets within the district. Ensure customer needs are met and that complaints and issues are resolved fairly and promptly. Maintain a strong and positive customer/supplier relationship through timely and consistent communication. Attend industry trade shows outside of your district. Understand current market trends and factors impacting the business. Submit weekly highlights through CRM and provide other reports in a clearly worded and timely manner; share pertinent end-market information with the Sales Manager or appropriate personnel. Regularly update and maintain customer correspondence in CRM, including weekly highlights, opportunity sales funnel, call plans and upcoming tasks with customers. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required. Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers, customers, supervisors, and technical teams in a positive and objective manner. 5+ years of professional selling experience; experience in the transportation market is preferred. 25-30% overnight travel. Ability to plan, schedule and organize work priorities with minimal supervision. Proficient with Microsoft Office and Salesforce or similar CRM software; experienced with a structured sales process.
