Carrier Sales Role and Description We are seeking a full-time onsite Carrier Sales Representative, located in downtown Chicago who will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of carrier accounts, negotiating rates, and securing transportation solutions for our clients. This successful candidate will bring solid previous experience in both sales and customer service roles within the logistics industry as a representative. A frontline, tactical role which will have daily expectations as goals, some of which include building relationships with established partnership and new business carriers, monitoring load shipments and issues, ensuring timely pick up and deliveries, as well as handling of any events that arise during the transit process. As a Carrier Sales Representative we will rely on your market expertise in providing timely and efficient analysis of market trends, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with internal teams to provide top-notch logistics solutions.
Qualifications
Carrier account management, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
5+ years experience in logistics, transportation, and supply chain management
Proficiency in using logistics software and technology
Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a corporate work environment
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
preferred
but not required with commensurate demonstrated experience
