The Branch Sales Manager will lead and develop a high-performing sales team across the state of Florida. This hands-on leader will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and deepening customer relationships. The ideal candidate will bring building materials experience, preferably in metals or aluminum, and possess a strong analytical mindset to identify market inefficiencies and capitalize on business opportunities. Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
Manage and mentor a team of 14 direct reports (inside and outside sales). Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Set clear performance goals and provide regular coaching and feedback.
Sales Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement regional sales strategies aligned with company objectives. Drive new business development and customer acquisition. Monitor and respond to market trends, competitive pricing, and customer needs.
Customer Engagement
Actively engage with customers to understand their business patterns and challenges. Build long-term relationships that drive loyalty and repeat business. Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
Market Intelligence & Analysis
Stay abreast of commodity pricing and competitive landscape. Analyze sales data to identify growth opportunities and market inefficiencies. Provide strategic insights to the executive team to inform business decisions.
Qualifications
Proven experience in building materials sales, with a strong preference for metals or aluminum. Minimum 5 years of outstanding sales experience, ideally in a high-growth distribution, building materials or metals industry environment. Strong business development skills and a hands-on approach to sales. Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Analytical and inquisitive mindset with the ability to interpret market data. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel throughout Florida as needed.
