Our local office is a close-knit team of professionals dedicated to providing exceptional solutions and building lasting customer relationships. With a key team member retiring, we are looking for a motivated sales professional to take over the thriving Illinois territory and drive our continued growth. The Opportunity
As the Regional Sales Manager for Illinois, you will be the primary driver of sales and business development across the state. This is a relationship-based role focused on connecting with both end-users and distributors. You\'ll work closely with our engineering team and company leadership to understand customer needs and deliver tailored machinery solutions. This position is ideal for a proactive individual with a strong technical aptitude who excels at networking and problem-solving. Responsibilities
Manage and grow the sales territory
for the state of Illinois, with potential for expansion. Serve as a technical consultant
to clients, understanding their operational challenges and recommending the right machinery (CNC lathes, flatbed lathes, grinders, etc.). Collaborate with engineers
to develop applications, troubleshoot issues, and draft effective solutions for customers. Actively network
within the industry to build relationships with small machine shops, large companies (paper mills, steel mills), and automotive parts suppliers. Conduct regular site visits
to check in with clients, understand their ongoing needs, and foster strong partnerships. Drive the full sales cycle
from prospecting and quoting to closing deals. Qualifications
Experience:
A minimum of
3 years of sales experience
in a machine tooling environment is required. Technical Aptitude:
Ability to understand and explain how CNC machines work, including dimensions, capabilities, and applications. Relationship Builder:
Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships. Self-Motivated:
A proactive and driven individual who can manage their territory effectively. Team Player:
Willingness to work closely with our on-site team of nine, especially during the initial training period. Salary:
A firm base salary of
$75,000 annually . Commission:
An aggressive
3% commission on all sales , with an annual sales goal of
$2.5 million . Travel:
Travel is required as needed throughout the territory, with all costs reimbursed. Training:
On-the-job training and strategic support from company leadership.
