Business Health, Safety & Env Manager
and is
onsite in Richmond, VA . Responsibilities
Follow and actively participate in all ABB Way management standards, site control standards and HSE practices for the Plant. This is a site-based position. Ensure ABB electrical safety programs are fully implemented with ABB, OSHA and NFPA 70E compliance (electrical safety, LOTO, preventative maintenance). Support site sustainability programs such as the path to become carbon neutral, waste minimization, zero waste to landfill, energy saving programs, ISO14001, and ISO 50001. Create, modify and update HSE program documentation and programs such as risk assessments, management of employee training, SDS database, electrical safety qualifications, ergonomics, machine guarding, industrial hygiene, forklifts, cranes, contractor safety, DOT shipping, hazardous waste, self-inspections, and hazard recognition programs. Conduct incident investigations to determine root cause and implement corrective actions; Lead internal safety teams such as the Emergency Response Team and other safety committees. HSE Metrics: track and trend leading and lagging indicators and management Sustainability Observation Tours (SOTs). Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Occupational, Health & Safety or equivalent Minimum 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment Microsoft Office and computer skills HSE regulatory and standards experience Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate with contractors, production employees, supervisors and the leadership team Candidates must already have work authorization to work for ABB in the US About ABB
