Asset Protection Specialist

is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and for supporting safety and environmental program compliance in the assigned store or stores. The role uses tools to minimize loss, including identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring store security, auditing the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS), and driving a shrink-elimination culture in the store. Additional responsibilities include preparing accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries, preserving evidence, interacting with law enforcement, and testifying in criminal and civil court actions. The Asset Protection Specialist must report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and carry out duties in a way that minimizes risk to themselves, other associates, vendors, customers, and the Company. The role requires integrity at all times, responsiveness to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates, and focus on store-specific business objectives while supporting key asset protection and operational responsibilities. Responsibilities
Identify and investigate incidents of theft and fraud; monitor CCTV and exception reports. Monitor the store’s physical security and audit Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS). Drive a shrink-elimination culture within the store. Prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries; preserve evidence. Interact with law enforcement and testify in criminal and civil court actions as required. Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty; minimize risk of injury to self, others, and customers.
