Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr
Job Overview The Outside Sales Rep is responsible for driving volume and profit growth using a balanced approach of new business and account management for existing clients within the territory. Maintaining and developing customer relationships through meeting sales targets/customers, prospecting new business and creating demand.
Responsibilities
New Business Development: Responsible for aggressively developing pipeline of new business focused on stocking dealers and projects
Introduce new products and complementary products to existing and new customers
Develop and carry out strategies to increase market share of our products with new and existing customers
Execute and implement company promotions and programs
Prospect and develop new business targets/opportunities
Account Management: Responsible for maintaining and protecting existing dealer business
Train dealer sales teams on product knowledge and selling techniques
Provide merchandising support to dealer base
Address and resolve customer complaints and or claims
Set up and attend trades shows
Continue building relationships through excellent customer service and product resolution
Qualifications
Strong customer service skills both in person and virtually
Self-motivated and functions well independently as well as within a team
Ability to present to groups both large and small
Microsoft Office including hosting presentation
Have strong closing skills with customers and follow up on commitments
Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory as required
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify and analyze key, market, customer, and competitive trends.
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred or industry experience equivalent
Experience
3+ years’ experience in customer facing sales within building products industry
Have direct exposure in resolving customer concerns
Experience in customer facing selling
Understanding of building installation process
Work Environment
In-market 85% of the time (customer facing)
Occasional over-night travel required.
Must react to short lead customer requests, Possible evenings, or weekend for customer events
