Direct Sales Representative - Springfield/Greenfield/Pittsfield, MA. This field-based position is in the Cardiac Rhythm Management division. Abbott is a global healthcare leader focused on innovative technologies that improve patient care in diagnostics, medical devices, nutritionals and branded generic medicines. Location: Springfield/Greenfield/Pittsfield, MA. The role supports physicians, medical laboratories, distributors, and hospitals within an assigned territory as part of Abbott's medical device sales organization. Responsibilities

Contact, visit, and educate clients and potential clients on Abbott products, addressing questions and concerns. Build and execute business plans in partnership with management to identify, target, and develop new accounts. Provide medical professionals with information and training on product use, including staff education, in-services, and technical troubleshooting. Ensure all pertinent patient information is completed and forwarded to patient tracing when required. Manage physical inventory within the assigned territory. Collect and evaluate information about new and existing products, monitor competitor sales, prices, and products. Analyze sales statistics, prepare reports, and perform administrative duties such as expense reports, scheduling, and travel planning. Attend trade shows and conferences to showcase products and discuss developments with stakeholders. Prepare analyses as required and stay current on developments in relevant fields. Resolve and/or facilitate problem resolution, identifying causes to prevent recurrence. Perform related duties as assigned or required. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent. Experience with Abbott or related cardiac products preferred. Typically two plus years of sales or clinical support experience with proven ability to influence customers in a healthcare setting. Aptitude to analyze and evaluate technologically complex devices. Ability to lead others and work collaboratively with teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with medical device industry policies, operations, and procedures. Track record of delivering sales/marketing information to influence customer decisions. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with customers, physicians, hospital administrators, government agencies, medical groups, and other sales representatives. Proficiency in common PC applications and tools. Benefits and Compensation

The base pay range for this position is $41,400.00 – $102,900.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted. Additional benefits may include health coverage, retirement plans, tuition assistance, and other employee programs as described by Abbott.
