Overview

Classified as Hourly, Non-Exempt. Responsible for enacting cash and credit card transactions for menu items purchased by guests during restaurant operating hours. Reports to the Restaurant General Manager / Training General Manager. Responsibilities

Greet guests, receive food orders, repeat orders, charge the appropriate price for each menu item, process payments, and provide correct change. Process gift cards as requested by guests. Be familiar with and up-to-date on California Fish Grill Restaurant’s menu and prices. Interact with guests in a friendly and efficient manner. Make corrections to guest orders quickly and accurately. Determine counterfeit money and respond appropriately. Verify age requirements prior to serving alcoholic beverages. Treat all guests with the goal of their complete satisfaction. Maintain a neat and clean uniform; ensure good personal hygiene. Keep work area neat and clean; clean and maintain equipment used. Complete in-service training, maintain acceptable attendance, adhere to uniform and dress codes, and perform other duties as assigned. General Responsibilities

Support the Mission, Values and Vision of California Fish Grill and the facility. Support and implement safety procedures, including fire/safety/disaster plans and risk management; report unsafe conditions and maintenance needs. Maintain confidentiality of guest data, including credit card information. Compliance with laws and policy to provide a harassment-free workplace. Collaborate with co-workers to complete duties with minimal supervision and sound judgment. Communicate tactfully in sensitive situations; follow up with supervisor, co-workers or guests regarding complaints or concerns. Promote positive public relations with the community, guests and families. Additional Duties
