Overview
Account Manager position at CONVERGIX Automation Solutions (Remote, USA). You will be at the heart of our sales success, forging and nurturing strong business relationships with existing customers and new prospects. Collaborate with our engineering team to create bespoke automation solutions and help achieve sales targets and improve our Net Promoter Score.
Responsibilities
Drive new and existing business relationships with targeted prospects and customers across defined segments and applications.
Manage key customer accounts within defined target segments (e.g., Aerospace, Agriculture, Automotive, Consumer Products, Electric Vehicle, Energy, Logistics, Medical, Food Processing, Military, Transportation, Oil and Gas).
Develop relationships with corporate, plant, and facility executives as well as maintenance, production, and engineering staff.
Grow into new markets that align with core expertise and articulate a compelling value proposition.
Understand business needs and propose continuous improvement and innovative plans to achieve sales growth.
Drive the sales process from prospecting to qualification to closing.
Develop and execute win strategies to increase bookings.
Collaborate with the application engineering team to align process and value proposition.
Represent Convergix in the industry, promoting the company’s vision, culture, and values.
Attend industry events and contribute to the go-to-market plan.
Participate in weekly sales meetings to review pipeline and strategy.
What Qualifies You for this Opportunity
College degree (Business or Engineering) or equivalent work experience
5+ years’ experience in automation equipment, controls, mechanical design, and robotics (preferably sales and/or engineering)
Proven history of selling solutions and equipment, meeting or exceeding KPI targets
Technical aptitude to qualify opportunities and communicate with internal engineering teams
Deep understanding of the automation market
Entrepreneurial spirit with a focus on customer success
Highly coachable and trustworthy
Track record of closing $1M+ projects in defined industries
High integrity and commitment to Convergix values
Established network of business contacts and clients
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate to drive win-win outcomes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build strong relationships and travel within the US and Canada
Physical Demands
Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with arms, stoop, kneel, talk and hear
Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and focus adjustment
