Our client, a leading provider of environmental and industrial equipment solutions, is seeking a Sales Engineer to grow a key territory covering Central and Southwest Ohio. This role is focused on field-based, technical sales of pumps, filtration systems, and tanks into industries such as environmental contracting, automotive, chemical, petrochemical, pipeline, utilities, civil construction, water/wastewater, power generation, and industrial maintenance.
Location:
Must reside in the SW or Central OH area. Travel approx. 50% for customer meetings, demos, and site visits.
Key Responsibilities Drive technical sales across the territory, acting as a trusted advisor on project-based rental and permanent solutions. Promote pumps, filtration, tanks across dewatering, bypass, remediation, and industrial maintenance projects. Prospect aggressively, while managing inherited accounts and expanding into new opportunities. Maintain activity tracking, CRM records, and pipeline visibility to ensure consistent growth and accountability.
Qualifications 3–5+ years of technical sales experience in industrial pump, tank, or filtration equipment. Polished, professional communicator with strong technical aptitude. High-energy, self-starter who thrives on prospecting and building credibility with customers. Based in the territory and comfortable with regular in-person customer engagement. Base salary starting at
$80K+
(depending on experience) + commission & new customer bonuses. First year OTE ~$120K; long-term earnings $200K+ as territory matures. Healthcare: medical, dental, and vision. 401(k) with company match 3% (eligibility after one year). Company vehicle provided.
