Overview
Pedernales Cellars is looking for a dynamic and experienced Hospitality Manager to join our leadership team. This key role is essential for creating exceptional guest experiences and driving our direct-to-consumer (DTC) sales. Reporting to the DTC Manager, you will be the face of our hospitality efforts, interacting with wine club members, guests, and vendors. Key Responsibilities
Elevate the Guest Experience
Oversee daily operations across all tasting room sales floors, ensuring a high-quality experience for every guest. Manage our reservations system, coordinating guest bookings, and communicating effectively to ensure a smooth visit. Provide prompt, professional, and exceptional service to all guests and wine club members, whether in person, over the phone, or via email.
Lead Events and Private Functions
Strategically plan and execute a diverse range of profitable events, including corporate gatherings, private parties, culinary events, seminars, and wine club release parties. Coordinate all event logistics, from securing vendors and equipment to managing site and directing staff. Create compelling event invitations, tickets, and web pages to drive attendance. Supervise temporary and part-time event staff, ensuring they deliver outstanding service.
Drive Sales and Growth
Lead daily operations for sales, including merchandise, wine, and wine club sign-ups. Collaborate with the DTC Manager to develop and implement strategies for attracting new wine club members and retaining existing ones. Develop and implement ideas to enhance the customer experience, leading to increased sales. Manage and maintain inventory for wine and merchandise.
Collaborate and Communicate
Work closely with the management team to meet sales goals for our wine club and other channels. Provide marketing support for events and new releases. Work professionally and effectively with all staff, from tasting room associates to our cellar and accounting teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: You have 3+ years of experience in hospitality and management. Team Leadership: You are a natural leader with the ability to manage a team effectively and collaborate with other managers. Problem-Solving: You excel at creative problem-solving and can remain calm and productive under pressure. Communication: You have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Logistics: You have strong time-management skills with a keen eye for detail, ensuring high-quality work is delivered on time and within budget. Flexibility: You are able to work primarily on weekends, some holidays, and occasional evenings. Physical: You can lift up to 50 lbs. and have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. Experience in a winery or similar industry. TABC certification as a seller/server. ServSafe Manager's Certification. Work Perks
