NAPA Counter Sales , you are considered the “face of the retail store” and the go-to person for customers entering our retail stores for all their automotive needs. You don’t need to be able to tear down and rebuild engines (though that’s a bonus) – a background and knowledge of automotive parts are essential. This role offers a great opportunity whether you want to build a long-term career as a Parts Specialist, work full/part-time, or explore other career paths within our company. What you will be doing: Providing auto parts solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone. Using your parts knowledge to assist other team members in answering customer questions. Delivering outstanding customer care and interactions. Maintaining a customer-focused, energetic approach in a fast-paced environment. Welcoming customers and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Using technology such as computers, cash registers, telephones, and catalogs. This is the right opportunity if you: Enjoy helping customers with their auto parts and service questions. Have gained experience through working in the automotive industry or repairing cars and trucks. Are willing to learn all aspects of automotive parts. Want to grow your career within a supportive team environment. What you’ll need: Valid Driver’s License. Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or a willingness to learn. High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school coursework is a plus. Excellent communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail setting. Good listening skills and empathy for customers. Additional qualifications that are a plus (not required): Background or passion for automotive, heavy equipment, farm, diesel, marine, or dealership industries. Experience in auto parts retail, auctions, auto body/collision, or related fields. Knowledge of cataloging and inventory management systems. Customer-centric mindset. ASE Certifications.
