Overview
Full Time - Sales Associate - Electrical & Lighting - Closing. As a Customer Service Associate, you combine strong customer service with care for people to help customers feel comfortable while shopping for home improvement solutions at Lowe's.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome customers to Lowe's, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
Stock merchandise by identifying empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies.
Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service.
Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds).
Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
Minimum lift of 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with or without accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
Bi-lingual skills.
Certification in a trade related to the department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, lumber/building materials).
Work Environment & Travel This role does not require regular travel; however, occasional travel to meetings, training, or nearby stores may be needed.
Environmental factors vary by location and may include inside or outside conditions, varying climates, and noise. Lifting guidelines limit single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used for heavier items. Powered equipment should be used as required with proper training or assistance.
