The role
Senior bookkeeper managing own portfolio of approximately 30-40 clients Day to day bookkeeping using Xero, Dext, and Sage 50 Monthly and quarterly reconciliations Prepare and review VAT returns Answering client queries in a timely manner Ensuring trial balances are complete and fully reconciled ready for accounts prep Training clients on the use of Xero and troubleshooting client data Running payrolls and dealing with pensions auto enrolment Bookkeeping and credit control for our own practice Ad hoc accounts tasks Practice management and administration

Have at least 5 years of bookkeeping experience in an accountancy practice Enjoy working with different client businesses and personalities Have the ability to plan and prioritise your work and a keen eye for detail Are a self starter, equally comfortable working by yourself or as part of a team Have flawless written and verbal communications skills Are a great bookkeeper and know Xero inside out! Have an expert working knowledge of VAT Prior experience of credit control, payroll, pensions auto enrolment, and the construction industry scheme would be an advantage but not essential We
