Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Vascular Stepdown/Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)
This position is for a Temporary Traveler. Compensation: $70 per hour for a contract This is a Full Time Temp Night Shift position! About Us:
9 Kaufman is a 24-bed stepdown intermediate care unit specializing in vascular surgery, telemetry, and renal/pancreas transplant patients. It is part of the Surgical Specialty Team at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital (SNGH). The staffing includes RNs, LPNs, NCPs (nursing care partners), UAs (unit ambassadors), and CSAs (clinical support associates). What We Do:
Our unit handles surgeries such as aortic aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy, femoral bypass surgeries, and amputations. We are also an extension of the renal/pancreas transplant team, including outpatient transplant care. All nurses on 9 Kaufman are trained to sit for the PCCN certification, which we support you in obtaining. The unit features monitored beds and cares for diverse telemetry patients, providing extensive learning opportunities. Nurse to patient ratio is typically 1:4, sometimes 1:5. Qualifications:
Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in Nursing Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing Basic Life Support (BLS) ACLS Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care hospital RN experience. Join Our Team:
