Reporting to the Global Head of Financial Services Vertical, the role is for a Sales Hunter / Director in Banking & Financial Services.
Location: NY / NJ / Boston / Atlanta / Charlotte
Job Purpose As a Sales Hunter / Director you will be responsible for:
To pursue end to end GTM strategy from pursuit to closure
Net New (Targeted list in the region/market aligned to Orion’s strategic growth objectives for Banking & Financial Services)
Go-to-client leader for developing key account and customer relationship strategies, identifying specific pursuit opportunities to build and expand Orion’s Financial Services footprint.
Focusing on hunting new logos and key customers within the region
Growing the firm’s business with these new clients through consultative selling and adoption of the Domain Led - Digital Transformation & Digital Product Development Solutions & Services
Interacting directly with senior client executives (CXO’s and 2-3 levels down) to understand strategic goals and help design solutions leveraging Orion’s capabilities
Developing, owning and leading account planning, GTM within new logos, and account penetration strategies (land and expand, new BU/LOB expansion, geo/regional expansion)
Responding to and delivering on client requests, RFI/RFPs, technology and services needs
Proactively identifying opportunities and digital transformation initiatives aligned to Orion’s capabilities
Creating solution proposals, pricing models and presentations in line with account strategy
Owning the entire account operations process: budgeting/targets, forecasting, contracts, SOWs, and invoices
Engaging with Delivery & Operations teams to manage project/program margins
Overseeing delivery of Orion’s commitments by collaborating with Experience Design, Engineering, Data & Analytics, AI, Cloud & Infrastructure, QA, and related teams
Developing alliances & partnerships for teaming on sales initiatives (advisory/consulting, solution design, execution capabilities, customer success)
Acting as a strategic advisor and thought leader in Financial Services with understanding of macro/micro trends, regulatory impacts, geos, and digital technologies
Responsibilities and Capabilities
Lead domain-led digital transformation initiatives with deep FS industry knowledge
Drive marketing and thought leadership for Orion’s offerings through collateral, webinars, campaigns, and roadshows
Develop and maintain trust-based client relationships, governance structures and performance in engagements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver client outcomes and high-quality customer experience
Balance growth and revenue targets with profitability and account health
Qualifications
Solid understanding of Financial Services domains (not generalist sales); solution & consultative selling
Ability to construct project bids and multi-year digital transformation deals; understanding of design & tech, co-development, co-innovation, co-sourcing models
Significant interaction with business, technical, and operations stakeholders
Strong communication skills
Experience selling to Tier 1/2 Financial Services relationships
FS domain coverage: Banking, Cards & Payments, Wealth/Asset Management, RegTech, Insurance
Experience with digital solutions areas and consultative selling in front/mid/back-office, risk/compliance, payments, digital banking
Understanding of digital transformation technologies (CRM, Cloud, API Management, DevOps, Data/Analytics, UX, RPA, etc.)
Experience with Platform/SI or management consulting firms (e.g., Accenture, Deloitte) is advantageous
