Overview
We are looking for a Sales Agent to join our team in our Frederick, MD office. Success in this role will require a strong local network and in-person relationship building in the community. This is not a remote position. Pay and Benefits
The base pay range is $55,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr. Through a combination of base, bonuses, and uncapped commissions, typical total first year compensation ranges from $55,000 to $75,000. There is potential for top performers to earn over $100,000 in their first year. The range shown is provided by Comparion Insurance Agency and actual pay will be based on skills and experience. The typical training salary is $55k - $65k Uncapped pay including base salary and bonuses, with renewal commissions providing opportunity to increase earnings each year Recognition including prizes and worldwide travel on top of competitive income Paid training (including licensing training) and mentorships for employees pursuing career goals Sales support, including earning commission for leads even if other team members close the deals Comprehensive benefits from day one, including health and dental insurance, 401(k) with company match, company paid pension, paid time off, 401(k) student loan match, tuition reimbursement, family building support Responsibilities
Build and leverage a strong local network and in-person relationships in the community Engage with customers in-person at the Frederick, MD office environment Provide insurance solutions to meet customer needs, including Auto, Home, and Life products from top national and regional carriers Qualifications
Preferred Experience
Previous employment in a sales role where prospects are turned into customers A state insurance license—or willingness to earn one with training and support—in Property & Casualty, and Life Required Skills
Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills Persuasion and negotiation skills Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with customers Good time management and organizational skills Ability to learn insurance coverage and underwriting guidelines Ability to find, build and grow leads and customer base About Us
