Audit Manager – Government Group – Arizona Location: Must reside in Arizona (no exceptions). Preferred: Phoenix, Tucson, Mesa, Chandler, Scottsdale, Glendale, Gilbert, Tempe, but not required. Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of an audit, including compilation of financial statements (ACFR), single audits, and compliance reporting (USFR). Manage client relationships and develop team members. Audit experience with school districts or governments in Arizona is preferred. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent required. Master’s degree in accounting or equivalent is highly desirable. Knowledge of Arizona school district compliance is preferred but not required; knowledge of municipalities (cities or townships) is also preferred but not required. Experience
10+ years of governmental auditing experience preferred. Experience auditing Arizona school districts is highly desirable. License/Certifications
Licensed CPA (required). Software
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). ProFx Engagement, CCH ProSystems, Tyler Technologies, Suralink are a plus. Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong GAAP and GAAS knowledge. Knowledge of Government Auditing Standards. Experience with audits under Uniform Guidance (single audits). Ability to review and prepare governmental conversion entries. Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to develop and mentor staff; engagement scheduling and budgeting. Executive presence; primary client contact; ability to prepare and present to clients and prospects. Client development and relationship-building skills; sound decision-making; problem-solving for complex accounting issues. Support business development and marketing; responsibility for engagement profitability. Job Type

Salary range: $90,000 – $125,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
