We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable (AR) Representative to manage incoming payments, ensure accurate record-keeping, and maintain positive customer relationships. This role involves handling invoicing, tracking payments, and resolving billing issues while supporting the financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and post customer payments accurately and promptly. Generate and send invoices, account statements, and payment reminders. Monitor accounts to identify outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments. Reconcile accounts receivable records with the general ledger. Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and customer billing issues. Communicate with customers regarding payment statuses and resolve inquiries professionally. Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status and aging analysis. Assist with month-end closing processes and audits related to accounts receivable. Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations. Collaborate with other departments to streamline billing and payment processes.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred). 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related financial role. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Ability to analyze and resolve billing and payment issues efficiently. Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in a high-volume transaction environment. Familiarity with automated billing systems. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Work Environment:
Office setting with a collaborative and supportive team. Hybrid work opportunities may be available based on company policy.
