Overview

Experienced Staff Accountant for Soho House is responsible for transactional finance initially including, but not limited to journal entries, intercompany postings, review of guest and deposit ledgers, and balance sheet reconciliations. Responsibilities

Recording payroll journals and other transactions. Partnering with the payroll team on various projects. Recording of rent and other expense line items and maintenance of supporting schedules that tie back to journals recorded. Assist in the month-end close process and ensure reporting deadlines are adhered to. Completion of various controls processes in a SOX compliant environment required as a public company. Recording other GL entries on a weekly basis to process transactions of the business. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure proper resolutions are communicated – including ensuring all intercompany postings are in balance. Helping to identify and implement financial process improvements. Supporting the quarterly and year-end internal and external audit process. Other ad hoc roles and projects as required. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with good intuition. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business required. 1+ years’ experience in managerial accounting and financial management in a hospitality or co-working business. Pro-active and a self-starter, with an ability to manage key stakeholders. Advanced Excel skills associated with large volumes of data, data management and reporting. Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $70,000—$80,000 USD. Pay range may vary by geography and experience. In New York, law requires noting that salary information is listed where applicable. Employment details
