The Work You Will Do
This is a professional position responsible for acting as liaison with the division and State’s Chief Financial Officer’s (CFO) office. This position is responsible for auditing FLAIR data code entries, reviewing all contracts for compliance with Florida Statutes, auditing and approving voucher payments, and serve as contact with the CFO’s audit section quick pay reviews. The incumbent with analyze daily transactions for compliance with rules and regulations to include process improvement recommendations to Accounting Services – Disbursements section management. The incumbent in this position will also research outstanding obligations for the certification process of encumbrances at the close of the fiscal year. Due to the interaction with agency personnel and vendors by telephone, written correspondence or in person to resolve any discrepancies detected in payment transactions, the incumbent must have proven exemplary customer service skills. Duties And Responsibilities
Smart device and cell phone invoices (Verizon, T-Mobile, etc.) Wright Express (WEX) invoices All DMS invoices – SUNCOM, Health Insurance Assessment, Quarterly People First, etc. Journal Transfers to other state agencies Special category payments – Real Estate Recovery claims, Construction Recovery claims, etc. Back up for processing travel reimbursements in STMS when necessary Back up for processing purchasing card charges in Works when necessary Process vendor invoices for payment via MFMP as invoice manager Reconcile MFMP and FLAIR balance prior to processing payment Works with internal and external customers to resolve Accounts Payable issues Research vendors’ outstanding payment inquiries and monthly vendor statements Perform other related duties as required Knowledge Skills And Abilities
Proficient in MS Office software including Excel and Word. Understanding of FLAIR disbursement transactions and the ability to interpret FLAIR Schedule of Allotment Balance reports. Knowledge of the Statewide Travel Management System (STMS) and PCard Works and ability to use STMS and Works in Accounts Payable section. Ability to apply accounting standards as needed. Knowledge of MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP) and the ability to use MFMP in the accounts payable section. Ability to work independently and in a team context. Strong written and oral communication, proficient use of technical accounting terminology, analytical, comprehension and organization skills. Ability to plan and coordinate work, solve problems and provide written management recommendations. Knowledge of Florida Statute 215.42 and the ability to apply rule and statute. Minimum Requirements
Two years of professional accounting experience; or Professional or nonprofessional experience accounting experience or any combination. Benefits

Ability to earn up to 104 hours of paid annual leave annually as a new employee with the State of Florida. Ability to earn up to 104 hours of paid sick leave annually.
