Property Accountant (Hybrid, Boston)
An established Real Estate Private Equity firm north of Boston is actively seeking a property accounting professional to join their team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations of our growing real estate portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring
strong internship experience
in property accounting or
1+ years of full-time property accounting experience , with a solid understanding of real estate financial reporting. Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain monthly financial reports for assigned properties Perform general ledger reconciliations and month-end close activities Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts Process accounts payable and accounts receivable related to property operations Coordinate with property management teams to ensure accurate financial data Support audit and tax preparation efforts Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Internship or 1+ years of full-time property accounting experience (real estate or real estate private equity preferred) Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) Familiarity with property management/accounting systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar) is a plus Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel Must be willing to work onsite 4X a week This is a full-time opportunity offering a solid base salary, bonus potential, and 100% benefits coverage.
